Man shot and killed after kicking door in at home in Redby, Minnesota
REDBY, Minn. (KVRR) — Red Lake Department of Public Safety says dispatch got a call Wednesday from a homeowner in Redby saying that a man had kicked the door in.
That is about 40 miles north of Bemidji.
The caller also told dispatch that the man had been shot after forcing his way inside the home.
Red Lake officers responded and arrived to find people performing CPR on the man.
Officers took over and requested Red Lake EMS.
The man was then pronounced dead on scene.
Red Lake is getting assistance from FBI and Minnesota BCA to investigate the incident and it remains an open investigation.
They are asking anyone with information to contact them or the FBI.
