Elizabeth, MN woman sentenced in fatal drug overdose in 2024

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KVRR) — A woman who was charged in the drug overdose death of a man in rural Fergus Falls last August is sentenced to just over six years in prison.
27-year-old Kaitlyn Carroll of Elizabeth, Minnesota pleaded guilty in June to 3rd degree murder.
Carroll supplied a mixture of meth and fentanyl to a 28-year-old man, who was found unresponsive in a home and later died.
A plastic bag containing a white powder was recovered and her DNA was found on the baggie.
Investigators also recovered phone messages between Carroll and the victim.
