Body of Jamestown woman found in submerged vehicle in Stink Lake on Saturday morning

BENSON CO., N.D. (KVRR)– A Jamestown, North Dakota woman has died after a crash Saturday morning in Benson County.

North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a report of a submerged vehicle in Stink Lake around 8 a.m.

They say tire marks in the gravel indicate a recent crash.

The vehicle entered the ditch, rolled over large rocks and came to rest on its roof in the lake.

The 67-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear exactly when the crash happened.

The investigation is ongoing.
