Country music star hit in the face by a ball during encore Saturday night at North Dakota State Fair in Minot

MINOT, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota is making national news for a not so nice incident on the final night of the state fair in Minot.

Country music star and “American Idol” judge Luke Bryan was hit in the face with a ball during his encore on Saturday night.

Bryan seemed a little shocked and stopped singing for a few seconds before continuing his song, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”.

The moment was captured on video by Rick Rider of US 103.3 out of Bismarck-Mandan.

He wrote on social media, “Why you would ever throw s*** at an artist you paid money to see is beyond me.”

Bryan did not address the issue on stage but as you can imagine plenty of people have weighed-in online.

Comments range from “Embarrassing” to “Ridiculous behavior” to “It always takes one idiot in the crowd to ruin it for everybody!”

Bryan was just getting back to touring after a bout with COVID-19 which forced him to cancel some shows.
