Agristo signs development agreement with Grand Forks for $450 million potato processing plant

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — It’s a done deal in Grand Forks.

Representatives from Agristo, a Belgium based potato company, and city officials have signed a development agreement.

Agristo is expected to break ground on their first North American facility on the north side of Grand Forks later this year and begin construction in 2026.

Production at the $450 million potato processing plant is planned to start in the fall of 2028.

Agristo was founded in 1983 and has 6 branches around the world in Belgium, The Netherlands, France and India.
