UPDATE: Jazzy & Mumbos in Moorhead to remain open for another year after typo is found in the lease

JAZZY & MUMBOS

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — After 16 years in business, Jazzy & Mumbos Animal Aid Thrift Store in Moorhead announced it was closing.

The owners wrote online that the lease is up and the cost of leasing a new space is, quote, “outrageous”.

In an odd twist, the owner of their current location saw the closure on the news and informed Jazzy & Mumbos that they have the space until 2026.

There was a typo on the lease.

They are still selling some items to move out of the store, but large shelves will stay for at least one more year in business.

They say that 89% of what they make from donated items pays for the lease and they often don’t have enough money to help pets in need.
