Prepare for traffic this labor day weekend

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — It’s the last summer holiday of the year, which means many people will be traveling this weekend.
The Transportation Security Administration estimates a record 17.4 million people will be flying out of airports this weekend.
And even though many will be taking to the skies, there are still a ton of folks who will be utilizing the roads to get out of town for the weekend.
Minnesota State Patrolman Sgt. Jesse Grabow shares that he wants drivers to be prepared and safe during their travels.
“With Labor Day weekend, it can be busy with all that extra traffic. We do see on a fairly regular basis a significant amount of crashes, in particular, that involve serious injuries or fatalities. And that is exactly what we want to prevent. We want to try to keep people safe,” said Grabow.
Grabow also says to increase your following distance for people pulling campers and other trailers.
