FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales continued their tour of Fargo this weekend.

Friday, they stopped by downtown and delivered day-fresh Budweiser to various businesses.

Saturday they were at West Acres for a meet-and-greet.

The horses arrived in the afternoon and were available for pictures and interactions with families.

Budweiser representatives say that was really the focus of this appearance.

“Today’s definitely family day,” said Doug Restemayer, the President of DS Beverage Inc. “Get the kids out and be able to see these beautiful animals.”

“Last night – yeah, we had day-fresh Buds, but they’re only two days old today so they’re still pretty darn good,” he added with a laugh.

The horses also made an appearance at a community picnic at American Legion in Moorhead on Sunday.

They are touring to help raise awareness and funds for Folds of Honor, a scholarship program that helps the families of servicemembers.

That wasn’t the end of the excitement at West Acres on Saturday.

The mall also held a well-attended Back to School event in the Aquarium Court.

There were stations to create your own backpack button and locker magnet, as well as a coloring station and live music.

Additionally, certain stores in the mall had exclusive back-to-school giveaway opportunities.
