Official Grand Opening for Courts & Pints

The pickleball courts themselves have been open for a few months, but this was the first time all the businesses' operations had been running at once.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – The F-M area’s hottest pickleball spot saw its official grand opening this weekend.

Courts & Pints in Moorhead has had some courts open to the public before now, but this was the first day the restaurant, the play area, and the pro shop were all operational.

The courts were open for everyone to play, free of charge, and introductory lessons only cost five dollars.

The building on 8th Street S. used to be a Family Fare supermarket, and Courts & Pints ownership is still amazed to see the transformation in the space.

“We started laying out tape to understand where the courts would be, and we moved some of that tape around to reconfigure things to get really the most out of this space that we could,” said one of the owners, Kelly Lancaster. “To see this come to fruition, it’s really rewarding, that’s for sure.”

“We reinvented the building. We upcycled it,” added another owner, Jon Norberg. “We took this building that was needing a lot of love. It’s turned out great. It’s turned out better than I thought it would. It’s awesome.”

In addition to the 15 pickleball courts inside the 60,000 square foot facility, there’s also 8 bean bag lanes that are always available to play free of charge.
