Felony charges filed after chase and crash Friday night in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Felony charges are filed against the driver involved in a chase involving a Cass County Sheriff’s deputy and a crash.

20-year-old Tristan Amyotte of Fargo is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, meth, fentanyl, fleeing a peace officer and reckless endangerment.

The deputy tried to stop Amyotte on Friday night for having one headlight in the 1800 block of 19th Avenue North in Fargo, but he fled.

The pursuit was called off due to safety concerns.

A short time later the vehicle was involved in a crash with another vehicle.

Amyotte and a 19-year-old female passenger were treated for minor injuries before he was arrested.

The other driver was not hurt.

His next court appearance is set for November 4.
