Freedom Resource Center hosts first ever resource fair

Freedom Resource Fair

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The disability rights organization, Freedom Resource Center, hosted its first-ever Freedom Resource Fair.

The center brought together various organizations and businesses to share what they had to offer at Veterans Memorial Arena in West Fargo.

The fair had more than fifty booths from both the North Dakota and Minnesota sides.

They had opportunities for everything from jobs and resources to events within their agencies many could participate in.

“We want to take time to really give thanks to the community for all the services that everyone provides. And just to be able to have many of them come in one space together, we can all work together and help people with disabilities thrive and be independent, and just know that we’re all together,” said Katelyn Vilmo, Independent Living Advocate and Peer Mentor Specialist.

Freedom Resource Center had many people turn out for the event, and they hope that they are able to bring awareness to people with disabilities.
