FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The man accused of hitting and running over a bicyclist in downtown Fargo in March has entered a not guilty plea to a felony charge of duty in accident involving death.

43-year-old Jeremy Jorgenson of Hawley, Minnesota was supposed to appear in court on the charge today but earlier this week he waived his right to the preliminary hearing.

Jorgenson is accused of hitting 61-year-old Bernd Scholz of Fargo who was on his bicycle at the intersection of NP Avenue and 10th Street North and then fleeing the scene.

He’ll return to court for a felony disposition hearing on October 30.
