SWAT arrests Grand Forks man wanted on multiple felony warrants

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) –A Grand Forks man is arrested after authorities serve a high-risk arrest warrant.

Grand Forks Regional SWAT Team showed up in the 3700 block of Cherry Street for 40-year-old Ryan Schaf.

He was wanted on multiple felony warrants in the county.

Authorities used a chemical irritant and light and sound diversionary device to get Schaf to come up but were unsuccessful.

Officers eventually went inside the house and found him hiding.

Altru Ambulance service, Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office and the Regional UAS team all assisted.
