Permit filed to bring Taco John’s back to Fargo for the first time since 2023

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Great news for fans of Taco John’s, the restaurant chain that has been missing from the FM metro since 2023 is making a comeback.
A permit has been filed with the City of Fargo for a remodel of one of the former locations at 4522 26th Avenue South.
The building will undergo an exterior remodel and inside floor tile will be removed and replaced, bathrooms will be updated and new equipment and dining room furniture will be installed.
The cost of the project is $600,000.
Pentex restaurant group is listed on the permit.
They are a leading Taco John’s franchisee and operate 46 restaurants through Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
They also have two HuHot Mongolian Grill locations in Fargo and Bismarck.
We have reached out and are waiting to hear more details and possible opening date and will pass that on when it’s available.
