Hugo’s Raceway in Grand Forks lands 2026 USA BMX National Series Race

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Thousands of BMX riders and fans will be headed to Hugo’s Raceway in Grand Forks next summer as they host the 2026 USA BMX National Series Race.
Hugo’s Raceway is home of Red River BMX.
They expect between 800 and 2,000 riders to attend the event from July 17-19.
Fan numbers could reach between 3,000 and 7,500 people from across the U.S. and Canada for the three days of elite racing.
The raceway was chosen after a competitive bid process evaluating the design, community engagement, lodging availability and overall event readiness.
“This marks our second national series event in just three years, which is a tremendous accomplishment for both our volunteers and the community,” said Danny Weigel, Track Operator of Red River BMX. “We’ve worked hard to make Hugo’s Raceway one of the best BMX facilities in the Midwest — from the quality of our track to the welcoming environment we create for riders and families. It’s exciting to see all that effort recognized on a national level.”
