FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The North Dakota Department of Commerce has awarded two grants in the Fargo area that will help local entertainment destinations provide a better customer experience.

The first is going to the Red River Valley Fairgrounds.

Just over $600,000 has been awarded to the Fair Association, who will use the money to build a permanent professional-grade grandstand and support facilities.

Meanwhile, $250,000 is going to the Red River Valley Zoo.

That is in support of the “Red Panda Legacy Project”, which aims to create a specialty habitat for the animals with four outdoor habitats connected by aerial bridges – plus a red panda encounter room for zoo visitors.
