Moorhead Police Department Adds New Way for Citizens to Submit Anonymous Tips

People can either text a number with the tip information, or download the Moorhead Police Department app and alert officers that way.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – If you’ve got a tip for the Moorhead Police Department, but wish to remain anonymous, you now have another way of submitting that information.

The department has unveiled the “tip411” non-emergency text line.

To use it, you must text the keyword TIPMOORHEAD followed by your message to the number 847411 – also known as the alphanumeric “tip411”.

You can also still download the Moorhead Police Department App, where you can submit tips and access the department website.

In case of emergency, residents should still always call 911.
