Halloween Pictures for NICU Babies and their Families

Dear NICU Mama set up near the JC Penney fountain in West Acres and snapped adorable photos all morning and afternoon.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Families that wanted to show off their getups were able to get professional pictures taken at West Acres for a good cause.

Dear NICU Mama set up a photo studio near the JCPenney fountain on Saturday.

All the proceeds from the pictures they sold went right back to the organization, which seeks to help families with babies in the NICU.

The children also got the chance to color pictures of pumpkins that would then be placed in care packages for NICU babies.

The organization’s staff says it was a really emotional and rewarding experience.

“I had the chance to connect with a NICU family that I had connected with three years ago, and they had just had their recent baby, so it was really fun to photograph their NICU grad and his new little sister, and kind of celebrate their family’s journey,” said Ashley Ham, executive director of Dear NICU Mama.

Dear NICU Mama estimates they had about 20 families come for the photoshoot, raising an estimated $1,000 for the organization.
