Red River Market Wraps Up for the Season
Folkways now turns its attention towards other seasonal events, like Christkindlmarkt.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – It’s finally a wrap for the season for one of Downtown Fargo’s premier recurring events.
Saturday was the final day of the Red River Market, put together by Folkways and held in and around Broadway Square.
The season went out in style, with a Fall cooking demonstration and a Thriller-inspired dance performance by FM Ballet.
Folkways says this year broke all their previous records for vendors and attendance – alongside the s’mores world record they broke back in July.
They also say they’re able to keep the market going so deep into fall because of the quality of the local produce.
“People usually think of Summer as the farmer’s market, but here in North Dakota where the produce is awesome in the Fall, we love seeing those pumpkins, squashes, and gourds, and just families coming out to enjoy it,” said Simone Wai, co-founder of Folkways.
