Second alarm called for townhouse fire in south Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Multiple fire department crews respond to a fire in south Fargo.
It was reported around 4:30 this afternoon at townhomes in the 3400 block of 33rd Street South, southwest of Essentia Health.
Black smoke could be seen coming from the structure for some distance.
Seven units are on scene.
A set of connected garages behind the townhomes were on fire, two units were destroyed and others were damaged.
Ryan Peterson, Fargo Fire Department, says, “We did call in a second alarm to bring in some additional crews here. There are no injuries at this time and so, right now, what they’re doing is trying to kind of get the hotspots put out. Dealing with a little bit of power to the units.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
