Altru plans Holiday Food Drives in both Grand Forks and Devils Lake

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — With the ongoing shutdown and cuts to SNAP benefits, Altru is stepping up to ensure no family goes hungry during the holidays.

They will be holding Holiday Food Drives in both Grand Forks and Devils Lake.

One will be held Thursday, November 20 at Altru Hospital and Altru Clinic in Grand Forks from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You are encouraged to bring produce, frozen foods, and dry goods to help stock local pantries.

The other is taking place now through December 17 at Altru Clinic in Devils Lake.

They are seeking donations of canned foods, soups and pudding packs to be sent home with students over the Christmas holiday break.

Altru Hospital and Clinic food pantry in Grand Forks has served more than 600 people this year.
