Update: One dead, one in custody following ‘disturbance’ in Horace

HORACE, N.D. (KVRR) – A woman is dead following what authorities are calling a “disturbance” in Horace.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to 7994 Jacks Way.

While enroute, deputies learned that a female was injured and a male had left the scene searching for medical assistance.

The female did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office has a person detained who they believed was on scene when the incident occurred. The scene is actively being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.

More details are expected to be released during a news conference.
