Detroit Lakes missionary convicted in Africa of having her husband killed while serving in Angola

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KVRR) — A Detroit Lakes missionary who was accused of having her husband killed while serving in Angola, Africa in 2024 is found guilty.
Lakes Area Vineyard Church released a statement to members to let them know Jackie Shroyer was convicted by an Angolan court of involvement in the murder of her husband, Beau Shroyer.
He was killed on October 25, 2024.
Jackie is expected to serve her sentence in an Angolan detention facility.
The Angolan Criminal Investigation Service revealed that she was having an affair with a security guard who worked at the couple’s estate.
They say Jackie promised the guard and two other men $50,000 to kill her husband.
The church says the Shroyer children continue to be well cared for.
