BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota Game and Fish is investigating after a dead whitetail buck was found dumped in a ditch southeast of Bismarck.

They say evidence at the scene indicated the deer was likely shot in another location and dumped at the Lincoln Road site.

A landowner discovered the buck on November 30.

Game wardens determined it had been shot and killed the previous day.

North Dakota’s deer gun season closed a week earlier on November 23.

Game and Fish is asking anyone who might have seen something to file a report with the Report All Poachers program at 701-328-9921.
