Santa Returns to Moorhead for a Skating Session

Santa said he surprisingly doesn't get too many requests for presence while the children are actually skating with him and Mrs. Claus.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – Santa also made an appearance this weekend over in Moorhead, hitting the ice for a beloved annual tradition.

Participants could Skate with Santa from 2:15 to 4:15 on December 7 at the Moorhead Sports Center.

The event was free, and also featured free hot chocolate and cookies for those warming up off the rink.

Santa said that he personally looks forward to interacting with the children in this way every year.

“I just love seeing all of the new skaters who are out here learning to skate with me,” he said. “Skating is one of my favorite things to do and I just love taking the time to come do it with them.”

If you missed this event, don’t fret – there will be another opportunity to skate with Santa on December 14 at that outdoor rink at the Lights in West Fargo.
