Shed Destroyed by Fire in Douglas County

The cause of the fire is still under investigation; foul play is not suspected.

EVANSVILLE, MN (KVRR) – A homeowner’s storage shed is a complete loss following an early-morning fire in Douglas County.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says dispatch received report of the fire just after 1:00 A.M. on December 13. Randy Bitzan, living on County Road 16 NW, said his storage shed was ablaze.

The Millerville Fire Department responded to the scene, but the shed was already engulfed in flames and ended up being a complete loss. No other structures received any damage, and Bitzan was not injured.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Foul play is not suspected.
