Police concerned foul play is involved in disappearance of West Fargo woman

Isadora Wengel

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Police in Fargo and West Fargo say they have concerns that foul play is involved in the disappearance of a West Fargo woman.

During a news conference on 24-year-old Isadora Wengel, Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski called the investigation complex.

He says Wengel was last seen on New Year’s Eve by her dad.

He is asking anyone who might have spotted her after that time to contact police.

An apartment in Fargo was searched and a person detained last week but that person has since been released.

The landfill in Fargo is also being searched in an area where trash from the apartment is discarded.

“What we can tell you is, thus far in the investigation, is that we have large concerns that there is foul play involved in this missing investigation. We are continuing to investigate. From that perspective,” said Zibolski.

Wengel’s family says she left without her phone and is in need of medication.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts or disappearance is asked to contact police.
