“Together for School Meals” to hold first volunteer training in Fargo on Thursday

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A coalition working to get free school meals for all on the North Dakota ballot is holding training for volunteers who want to help make it happen.
“Together for School Meals” is launching a statewide campaign with volunteer trainings in Fargo, Bismarck and online.
They have one year to submit 31,164 signatures.
If they are submitted by July 6, and are validated, the measure will appear on the general election ballot in November.
The estimated cost to provide free school meals for the 2027-29 biennium is $134 million.
The first training about the initiative and how to collect signatures is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Radisson Blu in downtown Fargo.
Check out “Together for School Meals” website or Facebook page to learn how to enroll in online training.
