MOORHEAD — The Rourke Art Gallery is holding its third annual Valentine’s exhibit starting on Thursday, Jan. 29.

The exhibit, called “Call Me!” features artwork with a retro, mid-century style.

Local artists were able to submit up to three pieces for display

Each piece has themes of holiday themes of love along with the role phones and communication plays in romantic engagements.

All the art is also for sale with prices ranging from 20 to several hundred dollars.

The gallery will be holding a reception for the exhibit on Friday, February thirteenth, that will feature drinks and donuts along with vintage postcards people can use to make Valentines.

“As these group shows continued, it feels like some more of the established artists in the area are like, ‘Okay, this is kind of a legit thing that’s going to keep happening. I’m interested,'” said Rourke Curator Jonathan Rutter. “So we’ve seen some established artists participating who hadn’t been in the show before as well as new folks.”

The “Call Me!” exhibit runs through February 22.
