City of Moorhead is aware of change in look and taste of water

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — If you live in Moorhead and have noticed a change in your water, the city is aware.

Moorhead Public Service had to adjust the ozone disinfection system on Saturday to improve the look and taste of the water.

They say it’s due to the snowmelt picking up organic matter and debris before ending up in the Red River.

The city is using a combination of well water and water from the Red.

They say the drinking water remains safe and meets and exceeds all State and Federal safety standards.

Water Treatment Plant staff will continue to address the taste and odor concerns and resolve them as quickly as possible.
