Man checked for smoke inhalation after house starts on fire in Douglas County, MN

DOUGLAS CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A man is checked on scene for smoke inhalation, but didn’t need any further medical care, after a house fire in Brandon, Minnesota.
Douglas County deputies and Brandon Fire Department responded just after 7 a.m. after the man called and reported the house was full of smoke.
Both occupants were able to get out safely.
Garfield Fire Department was called in to help extinguish the blaze.
They say the fire was believed to have started upstairs.
Minnesota State Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
American Red Cross is helping the occupants of the house.
