Local activist group displays names of Renee Good and Alex Pretti on billboard

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A local activist group has raised funds to put together two billboards advertising the names of people fatally shot by ICE agents.
The group, Red River United Indivisible, raised over $10,000 to put together the billboards.
The first billboard located on 8th St S. and Main Ave displays, “Never Forget, Renee Good and Alex Pretti.”
Below their names, the board displays over thirty names of people who died while in ICE custody.
While this is one of many billboards the group has advertised, they hope this will start conversations.
“There is still intense harm that has been caused by the operation Metro Surge. Harm across our entire state. So we did not want anyone to forget,” said Lyn Dockter-Pinnick.
“Every day we’re dealing with something new and distracting. And I think it’s very important to remember that American citizens and American residents have died,” said Martha Wheeler.
The billboard will continue to be displayed over the next several weeks, with the second one to go up by the end of March.
