Disc Golf Enthusiasts Raise Money, Supplies for Local Food Pantry
The 10th annual Moorhead Ice Bowl saw participants supporting the Fargo Emergency Food Pantry either through entry fees or physical canned goods.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – Those willing to brave the cold for a little recreation this Saturday also managed to chip in for a good cause.
Big Cat Disc Golf hosted the 10th annual Moorhead Ice Bowl at Woodlawn Park.
The Ice Bowl is a nationwide celebration of disc golf, hosted by local, individual organizations throughout the country.
Entry for the tournament was $25, with $20 going to the Fargo Emergency Food Pantry and the other $5 going into the prize pool for the competitors.
Organizers said they were passionate about using this event to try and fight hunger in the community.
“The majority of the Ice Bowls throughout the winter months lean towards donating towards local food shelters and food pantries,” explained Zach Gabbard of Big Cat Disc Golf.
Last year’s event raised over $2,000 and 200 pounds of canned food donations.
Big Cat Disc Golf believes this time around, they cleared both milestones by a substantial margin.
