Update: Man dies after being pulled from Red River

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A 39-year-old year Fargo man is dead after being pulled from the Red River by Fargo and Moorhead fire crews near the Main Avenue bridge.
Fargo Police Lieutenant Matt Siders says the man was seen walking on the ice before witnesses watched him fall into the river around 2:30.
He was recovered from the river shortly after 3:30 and taken to a Fargo hospital in critical condition before being pronounced dead.
The man’s name is not being released until authorities notify family first.
