It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane…It’s Actually a Bird, and it’s Super Cool at the Sportsmen’s Show
FARGO — It’s one of the first signs of spring in the Red River region.
The Sportsmen’s Show is back at the Fargodome this weekend, and they’re inviting you to let your recreation imagination take flight.
One of this year’s top attractions is Jonathan Wood’s “Extreme Raptors” show.
He and his tame, trained birds of prey are performing their audience-interactive show all weekend long.
Wood is a master falconer, renowned nationwide for his education and conservation work with raptors, many of which are endangered species.
His show features some birds from the Americas, like the South American yellow-headed vulture, and the crested caracara.
But there are others from all around the world, like the Arctic gyrfalcon, and the planet’s largest owl species.
Wood shared some bird tips with our Morning Show crew as well as a chance to get up close and cuddly with some of his astonishing avian performers.
