Jamestown Woman Dead After Single-Vehicle Crash

Authorities indicated road conditions did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

BARNES COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) – A Jamestown woman has died after crashing her car into a bridge support near mile marker 298 on I-94.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the incident occurred just after 4:00 A.M. on March 8. A 26-year-old woman from Jamestown was driving her 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-94. The vehicle then left the roadway and struck that bridge support.

Multiple agencies, including Barnes County Ambulance, responded to the scene. The woman died there from her injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
