Moorhead man appears in court after he is accused of stabbing his sister’s boyfriend in the head

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A Moorhead man makes his first court appearance after a stabbing Sunday at a apartment on Sunrise Circle in Moorhead.

34-year-old Dallas White is charged with one felony count of assault.

He is accused of using a butcher knife to stab his sister’s boyfriend after he hit White.

Court records show the victim had a two to three inch long stab wound on the top of his head.

He told police that White had returned to the apartment without his girlfriend and was upset.

He came into the kitchen and shouldered the victim before the stabbing happened.

A witness in the apartment gave a bat to the victim and he hit White’s forearm.

While White was arrested, the victim was taken to the hospital to be treated and released.

The victim did not need stitches.

White’s bail was set at $2,000 with conditions.
