National competitive catfish event to take place in the Fargo-Moorhead area

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Anglers from across the nation will come together to the Fargo-Moorhead area for the nation’s premier competitive catfishing event.
The King Kat Tournament Trail is a nationwide tournament that is the most recognized in the United States.
An estimated 100 anglers from across the area and the nation are expected to take part in the two-day event on the Red River.
Visit Fargo-Moorhead has been working for the past few years to bring attention to the Red River as the river itself is known to have catfish in the waters.
And this year, Anglers will be able to catch some catfish.
“We were just looking for a larger opportunity for our community to bring more exposure to the red for a national-level event. And we’re super excited,” said Stephonie Broughton, Director of Sports for Visit Fargo-Moorhead.
