Fargo woman arrested after crashing vehicle into light pole in West Fargo

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo woman is arrested in West Fargo after crashing her vehicle into a light pole, pinning herself and a passenger inside the vehicle near the 2800 block of Veterans Boulevard.

It happened around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say 28-year-old Chucha Ballah was able to get herself out of the vehicle but the passenger had to be rescued by firefighters.

The passenger told police Ballah had been driving in the wrong lane at a high rate of speed before the crash.

Ballah was arrested for DUI, DUI refusal and reckless endangerment.

She and her passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital before she was taken to Cass County Jail.

The passenger was released.
