‘Just an incredible feeling’: Fargo realtor dominates in MMA debut
Sall is a realtor with Park Co. in Fargo, and won his debut fight with Throne MMA
WEST FARGO (KVRR) – By day, Hunter Sall is a realtor showing homes on the market in the Fargo area. By night, he is a fighting machine in the cage. The former Minnesota State Moorhead and Central Cass football player kickstarted his mixed-martial arts career with a dominant, 1st round, technical knockout win for Throne MMA.
“Just hearing all the applause, hearing the people that came up to support me. I mean, it was just an incredible feeling,” said Sall after his win over Shae Yates. “Hearing my name, getting my hand raised and everything. It just meant everything, all the work that we put in. All the guys that trained with me, and everything to get me to this point. I couldn’t have done it just by myself. It was all my coaches, all the training buddies, everyone.”
When Sall isn’t training with the people at the Academy of Combat Arts of Fargo, he is showing homes to people as a realtor for Park Co. Now that he has won his debut match, Sall knows that some of his coworkers will jokingly think they can take him in the cages.
“Everyone’s gonna say like, I can take you,” said Sall. “I’m sure that we’ll have a couple of those at the office of people wanting to fight me now, but it’ll just be for fun.”
What’s next for the former Dragon and Squirrel? For Sall, a lot will change for the big guy this upcoming summer. Sall and his wife Shay are expecting their first child this June. He’ll be taking a break in the meantime, but shares that the urge to get back into the cage will not be going away.
“I’m going to take a short break for a while, but I hope it’s not the end,” said Sall. “I had too much fun. I’m too addicted to it now.”
