Drinking water restored in Finley, North Dakota

FINLEY, N.D. (KVRR) — Great news for people living in Finley, North Dakota:  people can now resume using water without restrictions.

The city received the all-clear from Department of Environmental Quality in Bismarck.

Testing found that bacteriological samples collected have all come back satisfactory and indicated the disinfection barrier is intact.

They believe sediment got into the line while Dakota Water Users – North were fixing a line break.

While the do not use order has been lifted, the city is still holding a water and supplies distribution tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

City officials say you may still see a tint to the water and encourage you to run the faucets and toilets and that tint will eventually go away.
