Kids at the Fargo Public Library got the chance to feel what it’s like to put out a burning house fire.
The Fargo Public Library hosted a fire safety workshop for kids.
Firefighters were on hand with a firetruck and hose, and kids got to spray into windows when they saw fire.
The event is an effort to help kids understand the importance of fire safety.
“Got some wooden fires in there that they’ll be able to knock down it’s a little bit cold, but kids being kids I don’t think they’re going to mind today. Really really excited some of them it’s actually hard for us to get hose back from them,” said Brandon Wehner of Fargo Fire.
Children got a quick introduction to fire safety. Including a demonstration of how to stop, drop, and roll. As well as what to do if they see smoke in their house.
