The Fargo Public Library gave children the chance to hear stories and ask questions about the life of a search rescue dog.
Bud Myers, of Valley Water Rescue, brought along his dog and shared memorable stories from being out on search and rescue missions.
Myers spoke to the kids about the historical background of the blood hound breed, and what training is like for the heroic dogs.
“What’s really fun with the kids is they get excited, and they’re full of questions. Questions were flying behind me the whole time,” said Bud Myer of Valley Water Rescue.
At the end of the Q & A, kids got to see Laurie the blood hound do an actual search outside the library.
