Fargo Man Caught With Pot to Meet With Supreme Court

The case of a Fargo man who was busted for pot by undercover officers without a warrant is scheduled for a conference with the U.S. Supreme Court.

The officers gained access into a secure apartment with a drug sniffing dog in December of 2012.

Lawyers for Matthew Nguyen say the high court should hear the case because justices have not addressed whether apartment dwellers can expect privacy in hallways of locked buildings.

Prosecutors say every court but one has ruled that the practice of bringing dogs into apartment buildings without a warrant is OK.

The Supreme Court conference is scheduled for June 18.
