Local Teachers Go Back To Class

Nine area teachers are going back to class and taking part in an internship program.

These teachers are interning at local companies to make stronger connections between education and industry.

They will be able to gain more in–depth knowledge of teamwork, collaboration, and other critical thinking skills.

Some of the employers participating include Microsoft, Sanford Health and Caterpillar.

“It’s been cool so far, it’s been really neat to actually be part of a program like this and at Sanford they’re having me do a project which is really nice. I’m not just following somebody around. They’re actually having me kind of do something,” said North High School Teacher Anna Gilbertson.

This is the fifth year for the program.

The internships end on the 26th.
