Commercial Fire at Sungold Foods

A commercial fire has caused damage to Sungold Foods in Horace.

Employees reported the fire just before 11 p.m. on Friday.

Fire departments from Horace, Kindred and Davenport responded with help from FM Ambulance and the Salvation Army.

All employees were safely evacuated and there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are unknown.

Employees hope some of the plant will be up and running again by Monday.

Sungold Foods is a subsidiary of Red River Commodities.
