Fargo Communications Manager Honored

 The communications manager for the city of Fargo is being recognized for her service.

Karena Carlson is named the North Dakota Professional Communicators’ 2015 communicator of achievement.

It’s the highest honor in the NDPC organization.

Carlson has been the city of Fargo communications manager since 2008.

She also worked as a news anchor for six years at a local tv station.
 
“It’s really a great honor. Especially to be selected for this award by a group of peers who I truly respect and people who I continue to learn from,” said Carlson.
 
Carlson is up for the communicator of achievement award in September at the National Federation of Press Women conference in Alaska.
