Comic-Con Lovers Gather at Moorhead Library

Sci–fi, superheroes and comic book lovers come together in Moorhead for Comic–Con.

The Moorhead Public Library hosts their second free Comic Con event.

It features an open discussion panel with graphic artist Joel “MOjo” Moen, Paradox Comics, and August Moon Anime.

Attendees could also get their face painted, answer trivia questions and enter a costume contest.

Coordinators believe that comics could be a great help to individuals that are reluctant to reading.

“Comics are a great way to get them started into reading, um, because you can have any kind of comic, you can have comics that has tons of pictures, little text, it’s a great way to really just get them into reading, and that’s what the library here it supports, is literacy,” says coordinator Cori Edgerton.

They are hoping that this will become an annual event.
