Many Kites Flying High in the Sky

Some people may not always like the strong North Dakota wind, but today people hoped for it in order to get their kites flying high.

Family and friends release their strings for Kite Day making the skies full of colorful kites.

The Fargo Park District event was open to the public and free.

Community members say it’s a way for families and kids to have a good time.

“It’s just a fun thing that let’s all of the people come together, all the kids like it, it makes the sky really pretty and the kids just love it,” says Fargo Park District Staff Member Theresia Neigum.

Next weekend they will host the Pepsi Outdoor Archery Challenge.
