Sorry, this video is no longer available
A major scare for some people at Montego apartments in south Moorhead who are now displaced by a fire.
Moorhead Fire responded around 12:50 this afternoon.
The Moorhead fire department actually called back up from Fargo because of the size of the flames.
A neighbor filmed this video of the fire after it broke out.
Fire crews found the fire burning from the ground floor to the top of the building.
According to firefighters, a heavy column of smoke could be seen from a mile and a half away. No one was hurt in the incident.
A man that lives on the second floor was the last to leave the heavily damaged building.
Jeffery Wilson said, “Only two feet from the ground up was visible. The rest of it was just pitch black with greenish smoke, you could see a little orange glow in the middle off the right side where the fire was.”
There have been reports that the fire started outside the second floor. But the incident is still under investigation.
And as you said TJ some people are out of a home because of the smoke and fire damage. They are being helped by the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
